Elders posts FY loss

Elders Limited (ASX:ELD) has narrowed its full year net loss to $60.6 million compared to a annual net loss of more than $390 million the year before.

The agribusiness says its result was impacted by its exit from the forestry sector.

Elders underlying earnings before interest and tax lifted 20 per cent.

The company says it has reduced its debt by more than $50 million compared to the year before.

Elders provided no guidance for the year ahead but said over the short term it will execute the sale of both the Elders Rural Services and Futuris Automotive businesses. No dividends were declared.
