CBA CEO tells MPs they are addressing their past failings

The Chief Executive Officer of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) Matt Comyn has been answering questions in the House of Representatives economics committee this morning saying the bank is on track to tackle issues.

The bank released a statement to the ASX this morning providing a recommendation on each issue mentioned in the royal commission final report.

The statement says "We welcome the Final Report and all of its 76 recommendations".

His appearance in Canberra is the first by a bank CEO since the royal commission's report earlier this year.

Shares in the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) are trading 0.87 per cent lower to $74.03.
