(ASX:FND) advises the Kali Kuning open pit at the Wetar Copper Project has recently experienced a series of pit wall failures.
The problems were mainly due to loose material from the side of the pit and waste from the recent failures extending across the base of the pit, covering ore and impacting mining activities.
As a precaution, mining operations have been suspended.
Around 92 per cent of the ore scheduled for recovery from the Kali Kuning pit prior to the commencement of mining has already been removed.
