NAB CEO (ASX:NAB) Andrew Thorburn says he has cancelled his planned long-service leave following the release of the final report of the Royal Commission yesterday.

NAB was singled out by Commissioner Kenneth Hayne who says he is not convinced its CEO  and Chairman have learnt from the lessons of the past.

Chairman Ken Henry responded to the statement this morning, saying he is disappointed the Commissioner formed the view he was unwilling to accept criticism of how the board dealt with some issues.

He says the board and himself have reflected deeply on issues raised and have taken them very seriously.

Shares in NAB (ASX:NAB) are trading 2.87 per cent higher to $24.72.
