UGL awarded $200M Shell contract

Company News

UGL Limited (ASX:UGL) has been awarded a $200 million contract from Shell Refining for work as a Primary Mechanical Services contractor.

The engineering company will provide maintenance service, minor capital works and turnarounds at the Shell Geelong site.

CEO Richard Leupen says the win positions UGL to participate in the large pipeline of Australian and Asian oil and gas maintenance projects as committed projects are brought on line.

Mr Leupen has also stated the new five and a half year contract extends on the services UGL has provided at the Shell Geelong site since 2009 and builds on UGL’s recurring revenue streams.

UGL’s net profit fell 15 per cent to $135 million in the 2012 financial year.
