Tabcorp Holdings Limited
(ASX:TAH) says it is hopeful the New South Wales state government will allow it to keep its exclusive wagering licence beyond next year.
Speaking at the company’s annual general meeting Chairman Paula Dwyer said Tabcorb’s wagering licence in New South Wales will continue to 2097 but its exclusivity is set to be revived by the state government next year.
The gaming company is hoping the New South Wales state government will maintain exclusivity after the Victorian state government maintained Tabcorp’s exclusive wagering licence last year.
Earlier this month CEO David Attenborough said Tabcorp had started the current financial year well, increasing first quarter revenue by 2.9 per cent to $489 million.
Tabcorp generated a net profit of $340 million for the 2012 financial year.
