(ASX:ATV) currently focuses on Nova Scotia on Canada’s east coast, where it has taken the experience and mindset developed during the 1990’s in Western Australia where it boasts a track record of gold discovery and production.
It currently holds 450,000 ounces of reserves contained within a resource inventory of 1.2 million ounces, of which almost 1 million ounces are directly attributable to Atlantic Gold.
The company is focusing now on its Meguma Goldfield with an open pit perspective. In the project pipeline is Touqouy which is in the development stage, Cochrane Hill in the pre-feasibility stage and thirdly exploration within the Nova Scotia goldfield.
The Canadian prospects are located on Canada’s Atlantic coast. The Touqouy project is within the Moose River gold mines, one hour’s drive north east from the town of Halifax and close to the international airport.
The project is well located with regards to local infrastructure. The total mineral resources of Atlantic Gold are roughly spread between Touqouy and Cochrane Hill. The company has invested about $18 million into its Touqouy project.
