Wotif looks to lift commission in 2013

Company News

Wotif.com Holdings Limited (ASX:WTF) has forecast its first half profit will be steady with last year’s result and revealed it will be lifting its commission from 2013.

The online travel booking company says given there has been no changes in the macro environment its first quarter performance has been similar to last year.

If this performance continues in the second quarter Wotif.com expects its half year result will also be similar to last year’s first half net profit of $28.8 million.

Speaking at the company’s annual meeting yesterday, outgoing CEO Robbie Cooke also announced Wotif.com will boost commission charged to accommodation suppliers by 1 per cent from next year and an extra 1 per cent the year after.

Wotif.com Holdings reported a net profit of $58 million in the full 2012 financial year.
