Alkane improves rare earth recoveries

Company News

Alkane Resources Limited (ASX:ALK) has improved heavy rare earth recoveries from its demonstration pilot plant, or DPP, in Dubbo.

The rare earths explorer says in its quarterly report current anticipated annual revenue of $450 million doesn’t account for uplift from its DPP joint venture with Japan’s Shin-Etsu chemical.

Alkane has also advised it has received project approval for its Tomingley gold project from the NSW department of planning and infrastructure.

The company has sold its interest in the Orange District Exploration Joint Venture to Regis Resources Limited (ASX:RRL) for 17.5 million Regis shares.

Alkane reported a net loss of 544,000 dollars for the 2012 financial year.
