NRW Holdings Limited
(ASX:NWH) has been awarded a $90 million earthworks contract for Rio Tinto Limited’s
(ASX:RIO) Yandi sustaining project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
The contract commences late next month and is expected to run for over 40 weeks.
Earthworks involved will include over one million cubic metres of excavations, bridge and floodway construction.
The aim of the Yandi sustaining project is to expand mine production capacity, and over 300 workers will be employed to fulfil NRW’s contract.
NRW Holdings reached a net profit of $97 million in the 2012 financial year.
