(ASX:AZS) is an ASX listed Australian company based in Perth but focused solely on working in Mexico with the intent of becoming a copper/gold producer within the next two years. Mexico is a mining friendly and very mineral rich country, and Azure is poised to move forward.
We’ve just had a very positive, very encouraging, pre-feasibility study delivered for the Promontorio project, which is a very high grade copper gold/silver deposit and we’re pushing it forward as rapidly as possible. Also we have active exploration underway on two joint ventures with the Japanese Government organisation (JOGMEC). Corporately we’ve got about 550 million shares on issue trading at about 2.3 cents, with market cap currently around $12 million and $3 million in cash.
With its well established mining culture, Mexico wants the industry to continue to develop and community support is strong. The capable workforce is willing; cost pressures regarding wages minimal and mining legislation is simple and transparent. Modern legal, financial, accounting and taxation regimes are all in place.
