Energy World Corporation clarifies speculation

Energy World Corporation Limited (ASX:EWC) has lashed out at media commentary published last week and clarified speculation surrounding the development of its projects.

The liquefied natural gas (LNG) developer says it has not put the construction of its proposed LNG Hub Terminal and regasification facility on hold. 

Energy World has also pointed out the Western Province of Papua New Guinea remains a development opportunity as does the prospect for an LNG development at Port Bonython. 

The company has also affirmed its Alice Springs LNG facility is not in production but the company is preparing to start up operations again and exploring opportunities to sell the LNG product. 

Energy World Corporation reported a net profit of $20.8 million in the 2012 financial year.
