Forge Group wins $70M Rio contract

Engineering and construction services provider Forge Group Limited (ASX:FGE) has won its second contract from Rio Tinto Limited (ASX:RIO) this month. 
 
The latest contract worth $70 million is to design and construct fuel infrastructure at two of Rio’s iron ore mines in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
 
Forge CEO David Simpson says the project includes engineering, procurement and construction services and will utilise civil and concrete, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation work. 
 
Forge scored a $280 million contract from Rio earlier this month to deliver a combined cycle gas turbine power station in the East Pilbara. 
 
Forge Group generated a net profit of $49.3 million in the 2012 financial year.
