Minbos Resources: Africa Down Under

Company Presentations

Minbos Resources Limited (ASX:MNB) CEO, Robert McCrae discusses ‘Preparing for Production’ at the Africa Down Under Conference in Perth, Western Australia from 29-31 August 2012.

My presentation today is just an update on progress made by Minbos Resources Limited (ASX:MNB) since last year and how rapidly we’ve moved from explorer to developer, with two projects at bankable feasibility study stage.
Minbos’ focus is the Congo Basin on the central west coast of Africa, which hosts both phosphate and potash mineralisation and we believe it’s going to be a prodigious producer of fertiliser products going forward. We are the largest holder of phosphate exploration ground in the Congo Basin and our focus is on two high grade robust developments, namely the Kanzi Project in DRC and the Cacata Project in Cabinda province, Angola.
Basically very strong supply and demand factors are driving the phosphate rock price. A great opportunity exists for Minbos as the market has grown by 50 million tonnes over the last decade, but actual freely traded phosphate rock has decreased by 10 million tonnes, opening the market for companies like ourselves. Mining and investment have become big priorities in resources blessed Angola and DRC.
