ResMed Inc. (ASX:RMD, NYSE:RMD) has announced an annual profit boost of 12 per cent, underpinned by growth from its US markets.
The manufacturer and distributor of medical equipment generated a net profit of $254.9 million, an increase of more than $25 million from the previous financial year.
Resmed says American revenue lifted by 13 per cent in the fourth quarter while revenue from the rest of the business grew by 3 per cent over the year.
In the first half of the 2012 financial year ResMed reported a net profit of $112.6 million.
