Sydney Airport posts record passenger numbers July 20, 2012 11:31 AM

Sydney Airport Holdings Limited (ASX:SYD) has recorded its best ever international and domestic passenger numbers for the month of June.

Sydney Airport CEO Kerrie Mather says the launch of new low cost services to Asia was the driver of the growth.

Scoot’s daily service to Singapore took the lead with the number of Singaporeans arriving in Sydney increasing by 62 per cent.

Sydney Airport recorded a net loss of $279 million in the 2011 financial year.
