Altona upgrades Roseby resource

Altona Mining Limited (ASX:AOH) has advised a 15 per cent increase in its contained copper at its Roseby project near Mt Isa in Queensland.

Total resources now stand at 249 million tonnes with 0.6 per cent copper and 0.05 grams per tonne of gold.

The resource upgrade now encompasses the Blackard deposit which now has a 85 per cent increase of the contained copper in the mineral resource estimate.

The metals producer conducted its feasibility study of Little Eva in May and expects to produce 39,000 tonnes of copper in concentrates per annum. 

In the first half of the 2012 financial year Altona reported a net loss of $15.6 million.
