Discovery starts Boseto commissioning

Discovery Metals Limited (ASX:DML) has announced the commissioning of the concentrator at its wholly owned Boseto copper project in north-west Botswana is now underway and the crushing of ore has started.

The copper exploration and development company says milling, floating and production of copper-silver concentrate is expected, as planned, this month. 

Discovery Metals has also advised the Boseto Project remains within budget and the company is now focussed on bringing the plant to design production rate and recovery as quickly as possible.

The Boseto Project is designed to produce an average of 36,000 tonnes of copper and 1.1 million ounces of silver per annum in concentrate from 2 million tonnes per annum of ore feed.

Discovery Metals reported a net loss of $6.9 million in the first half of the 2012 financial year.
