Cabcharge Australia Limited
(ASX:CAB) has reported its first quarter results for the year of its associate companies.
ComfortDelGro Cabcharge saw an increase in earnings before interest and tax of $16.4 million, an increase of 19.7 per cent from the same time last year.
Cabcharge’s chief attributes the increase to growth in route services.
Cabcharge’s UK operations CityFleet group, reported a decrease in earnings which the transport operator says is due to lower business activities in the UK economy.
In the first half of the 2012 financial year, Cabcharge generated a net profit of $25.9 million.
