Ceramic Fuel set to benefit from German subsidy

Company News

Low emission electricity generation product manufacturer, Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited (ASX:CFU), has welcomed the German government’s introduction of a capital subsidy for micro heat and power heating products.

The subsidy includes Ceramic Fuel Cells own products including the BlueGen generator which converts natural gas into electricity and heat for hot water.

Managing Director Brendon Dow says while the subsidy amount is modest Germany continues to be a leading market for its products.

Ceramic Fuel Cells has also advised its German sales partner has received its first order for a BlueGen unit in Austria and a follow-on order for two units in Switzerland.

Shares in Ceramic Fuel Cells closed 2.08 per cent higher yesterday at $0.098.

In the first half of the 2012 financial year Ceramic Fuel Cells recorded a net loss of $12.5 million.
