The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has supported Virgin Australia Holdings Limited
(ASX:VAH) proposed alliance with regional Western Australian airline Skywest.
The partnership is geared towards promoting competition with Qantas Airways Limited's
(ASX:QAN) corporate customer base.
The ACCC will review submissions before issuing a final decision.
In the first half of the 2012 financial year Virgin Australia generated a net profit of $51.8 million.
