Origin Energy see 12% rise in quarter revenue

Gas and energy company Origin Energy (ASX:ORG), has seen a rise in integrated gas revenue of twelve per cent on last quarter to $640 million.

This result has been driven by higher commodity prices for liquefied natural gas and domestic gas over the quarter.

Electricity sales are up 4 per cent on last quarter and natural gas sales have seen a 6 per cent rise.

Origin's capital expenditure however was lower than expected at $42 million, a 68 per cent decrease on the last quarter.

Shares in Origin Energy (ASX:ORG) are trading 0.07 per cent higher to $7.17.
