Ausdrill announce Barminco’s new contract with Nova

Ausdrill (ASX:ASL) released a statement regarding Barminco announcing it has been awarded a four-year contract extension at Independence Group Nova nickel-copper-cobalt Operation.

Under the $240 million contract, which includes an option for a two-year extension, Barminco will provide underground mining services including development and production mining.

Ausdrill (ASX:ASL) is a diversified mining services company formed in Kalgoorlie in 1987. It has operations across Australia, Africa and the United Kingdom. They employ over 5,000 staff worldwide.

In August 2018, Barminco announced that it had entered into an agreement to be acquired by Ausdrill (ASX:ASL), which will create Australia’s second largest mining services company.

Shares in Ausdrill (ASX:ASL) closed 4.35 per cent higher to $1.68 yesterday
