Brambles could gain $1.75B from Recall

Company News

Pallet supplier Brambles Limited (ASX:BXB) could reportedly gain $1.75 billion from selling its information management business Recall.

A Nomura analyst has told The Wall Street Journal Brambles is likely to see a drop-off in earnings per share in fiscal 2013.

Nomura believes Brambles will struggle to fill the earnings hole left by Recall unless it identifies potential value-adding acquisitions.

Brambles decided to divest Recall in August last year and said it would focus on building its global pooling solutions business.

In the first half of the 2012 financial year Brambles improved its net profit by 9 per cent to $236 million.
