Altura Mining’s maiden lithium shipment departs Port Headland

Altura Mining (ASX:AJM) has announced that its maiden lithium shipment has departed from Port Headland.

The vessel was loaded with about 5000 dry metric tones of spodumene concentrate is headed from Altura's offtake partner Lionenergy in China.

The lithium mining company says its focus is now the ongoing ramp-up of production to the nameplate capacity of 220 000 tonnes per annum and regular shipments.

Managing Director James Brown says Altura is now producing and exporting lithium concentrate that will become part of the lithium-ion battery revolution.

Shares in Altura Mining (ASX:AJM) are trading 2 per cent lower to 24 cents.
