Lynas letter urges Malaysia to clarify review status

Lynas (ASX:LYC) has written an open letter to the Malaysian Government to clarify whether a review will be conducted into Lynas Malaysia.

The letter, written by CEO Amanda Lacaze comes on the back of recent media reports that a Lynas Malaysia Review Committee has been formed.

The reports allege the committee will be chaired by a person who openly admits to being anti-Lynas.

The letter requests fairness, objectivity and transparency in any review of the rare earths miner.

Lynas Malaysia has been producing rare earth materials at its Gebeng plant for the past six years.

Shares in Lynas (ASX:LYC) is trading 0.15 per cent higher to $1.64.
