Coca-Cola Amatil FY11 profit lifts 19%

Coca-Cola Amatil Limited (ASX:CCL) has reported a 19 per cent improvement in its net profit for the full 2011 calendar year.

The soft drink company generated a net profit of $592 million, boosted by a $59.8 million gain from its divestment of its 50 per cent share of the Pacific Beverages joint-venture to SABMiller.

Before significant items the company’s net profit increased 5 per cent amid what Coca-Cola describes as the most challenging year it has ever faced.

A fully franked final dividend of 30.5 cents per share has been declared.
