(ASX:CGU) Executive Chairman, Chris Battye details the first drilling of the gold miner’s second project. Following the success of the company’s first program, the Cowarra project, a former BHP Billiton Limited
(ASX:BHP) mine just south of Canberra, the miner has now embarked on a drilling program at its Dalton project near Yass. Other projects planned for this year include a drill program at Corang between Braidwood and Nerriga and follow up drilling at Cowarra. The miner is also looking to acquire a cash generating gold asset and has begun due diligence regarding several opportunities. Mr Battye says the long term fundamentals for gold remain strong, with predictions for the spot price to easily reach $US2000 an ounce later this year.
