Company News

Roc Oil Company Limited (ASX:ROC) says production improved at the end of 2011, capping off a positive and transitional year for the oil and gas explorer.

The company’s output rose 7 per cent in the December quarter from the previous quarter.

The lift brought full year production to 2.7 million barrels of oil equivalent, down from 3.1 million barrels of oil equivalent the year before.

Roc Oil Company says it delivered the majority of its business objectives last year.

These include the award of a new Malaysian growth opportunity, meeting production guidance, controlling costs and divesting non-core African assets.

Roc Oil Company booked a net loss of $6.1 million for the half year to June 30, 2011.
