Cockatoo Coal boosts Hume resources

Cockatoo Coal Limited (ASX:COK) has reported a 288 per cent increase in all classifications of the JORC compliant resources in the Hume project in New South Wales. 
 
Coal miner Cockatoo has a 30 per cent stake in the project and is also the manager.

JORC compliant resources in the Hume project have now increased from 115 million tonnes to 446 million tonnes.

The indicated JORC resources have increased from nil to 204.9 million tonnes and the inferred JORC resources have increased 110 per cent to 241 million tonnes.

Cockatoo says the latest figures reflect its growing confidence in the economic viability of the project.

In the 2011 financial year Cockatoo Coal reported a net loss of $21.9 million.
