OZ Minerals production falls

OZ Minerals Limited (ASX:OZL) says it’s expecting to maintain its full year copper production levels of between 100,000 and 110,000 tonnes this year.
 
Its reported slightly weaker production levels, but says they’re in line with guidance.
 
In its quarterly report, the miner says its copper production was down to 107,774 tonnes for the year to December 2011, compared with 112,171 the year before.
 
Gold production was also weaker: 160,007 ounces, down from 196,400 the year before.
 
And total fourth quarter production slipped: it was 26,802 tonnes, compared with 27,217 tonnes in the September quarter.
 
OZ Minerals reported a net profit of $113.9 million for the first half of 2011.
