Strike Energy Limited (ASX:STX) is plugging and abandoning its Wintermann well in Texas.
The well has reached a total depth of 9,500 feet but has not found any commercial hydrocarbons.
Next year Strike will focus exclusively on the commercialisation of key unconventional oil and gas investments, particularly the Eagle Ford Shale and Cooper Basin.
Strike Energy reported a full year net loss of $8 million to June 30, 2011.
