Fairfax Media Limited’s (ASX:FXJ) radio arm has a new chief executive after its current general manager asked to be moved to day-to-day duties following the network’s aborted sales process, and his own health issues.
Adam Lang, currently in management at Southern Cross Austero, will take over from Graham Mott in March.
Fairfax Radio’s been looking to sell stations this year but after Macquarie Radio Network failed to strike a suitable deal, it abandoned sales plans.
Mott told News Ltd the sale process was "a difficult and challenging time for staff and very unsettling, particularly for the team at 2UE".
Fairfax Media Limited (ASX:FXJ) reported a loss of $390 million in the 2011 financial year.
