Dual listed Viterra (ASX:VTA, TSE:VT) expects strong grain handing and marketing volumes for the 2012 financial year.
The company says the forecast is underpinned by positive harvest conditions in South Australian and Western Canada and supported by recently released Australian and Canadian Federal Government crop production reports.
In fiscal 2011 South Australia produced a record crop and all-time high shipments of eight million tonnes, boosting earnings per share by 176 per cent in the first nine months of the year.
Viterra say it is optimistic for the year ahead. The company will release its full year results on January 18, 2012.
In the year to October 31, 2010 Viterra posted a net profit of $145 million.
