SingTel issues notes

Company News

Singapore Telecommunications Limited’s (ASX:SGT) wholly owned subsidiary SingTel Group Treasury is set to issue a new series of seven-year fixed-rate notes on November 28.

The JPY10 billion notes will mature in 2018, and are issued under SingTel Group’s S$10 billion Euro Medium Term Note Program.

The telecommunications giant says the issue is part of the long-term financing strategy, and extends the debt maturity profile of the company and its subsidiaries.

SingTel reported a profit of $1.4 billion for the six months to September.
