Incitec Pivot Limited (ASX:IPL) has reported a net profit after tax of $410.5 million for the year to September 30.
Net profit was up 12.8 per cent to $463.2 million, and revenue from ordinary activity was up 33.2 per cent to $3,906 million.
The company says 2012 will be a transition year for its explosives business as it starts up a new ammonium nitrate plant in Queensland. Incitec also says it has a positive view of the long-term outlook for global fertilisers.
The company declared a final dividend of 8.2 cents per share, compared to six cents in the prior corresponding period.
