Chalmers posts FY18 $573k loss

Chalmers (ASX:CHR) has reported a net loss of $573,000 (from continuing operations) for the 2018 financial year, a fall of 219 per cent from the same time last year.

The transport and logistics company’s revenue (from continuing operations) lifted 2 per cent on the prior corresponding to about $68 million.

No interim or final dividends have been declared.

The company says the performance of empty container parks in both Melbourne and Brisbane have been well below historical levels which have negatively impacted profit and revenue.

Separately, the company has announced the resignation of John Carew as Managing Director effective immediately.

Shares in Chalmers (ASX:CHR) are trading flat at $3.50
