BHP Billiton net profit falls 37%

Mining juggernaut BHP Billiton (ASX:BHP) saw its full year net profit drop 37 per cent to US$3.71 billion from US$5.9 billion on the same corresponding period last year.

Revenue is up 21 per cent to US$43.64 billion for the year ending June 30 2018.

Underlying EBITDA US$23.2 billion up 20 per cent on last year from US$19 billion.

They will pay a US63 cents final dividend.

Shares in BHP Billiton (ASX:BHP) closed 1.31 per cent higher to $33.17 yesterday.
