Supermarket giant Woolworths Limited (ASX:WOW) has reportedly rejected that its Indian partner, corporate house Tata Group, has pulled out of their partnership.
Speculation has emerged that Tata Group had not resigned its five-year retail consumer electronics deal with Woolies.
The Economic Times has reported that Tata's Infiniti Retail has been opening independent warehouses in India and the company has not renewed the agreement that ended in October.
Australian media says Woolworths has re-stated its commitment to its India business, alliance with the Tata and retail electronics relationship with Infiniti Retail.
In the 2011 financial year Woolworths posted a net profit $2.1 billion.
