Lower Q3 output cuts Roc Oil revenue

Roc Oil Company Limited’s (ASX:ROC) third quarter revenue has fallen by 7 per cent, underpinned by a fall in production.  

The oil and gas explorer’s output fell 3 per cent from the quarter before and 11 per cent from the year before due to operational problems at UK fields.  

In the three months to September 30, 2011 Roc Oil posted sales revenue of $US79.1 million, down from $US84.8 million the quarter before.

Shares in Roc Oil Company ended 1.54 per cent lower yesterday at $0.32.

In the half year ended on June 30, 2011 Roc Oil Company booked a net loss of $6.1 million.
