Westpac targets women

Westpac Banking Corporation (ASX:WBC), (NYSE:WBK) is targeting women customers according to the head of women’s banking.

Westpac has launched a multi-million dollar ad campaign focusing on women’s financial issues, starting with superannuation.

The ad highlights that about half of women don’t know how much super they have and four out of five retire without super.

In the first half of its 2011 financial year Westpac generated a net profit of just under $4 billion.
