NAB director Henry seeks board roles

Company News

The new National Australia Bank Limited (ASX:NAB) director Ken Henry says he is seeking other board seats, according to The Australian.

The media report states the former Federal Treasury Secretary is looking to accept other board positions, but, in his own words, “not too many”.

That’s despite concerns about a conflict of interest given his advisory role for the Prime Minister. Dr Henry is currently drafting a white paper for Julia Gillard on Australia’s engagement with Asia.

In the first half of the 2011 financial year National Australia Bank posted a net profit of $2.4 billion.
