Fortescue Metals Group Limited (ASX:FMG) chairman Andrew Forrest’s corporate career will be decided today, according to a report by The Australian Financial Review.
The High Court is expected to rule as early as today whether he can appeal against a finding that he misled investors seven years ago.
Business Spectator reports that if the court refuses to hear his appeal, Mr Forrest could face a three to seven year ban from serving in board-level roles at Australian companies.
For the financial year to June 30, 2011, Fortescue recorded a net profit of $952 million.
