Telstra launches new brand image

Telstra Corporation Limited (ASX:TLS) has aired new ads to herald the roll out of its new branch image over the next two years.

The latest ads showcase a multicoloured, fan-shaped “spectrum device” which will also will feature on the telco’s packaging and signage.

While Telstra will continue to use its original logo, it will be used with more colour combinations in an effort to show that Telstra is changing.

Telstra’s chief marketing officer, Mark Buckman, has told the Australian Financial Review that new brand image and advertising will not increase the company’s estimated $250 million annual marketing budget.

Telstra reported a net profit of $3.25 billion in the 2011 financial year.
