Lend Lease Group (ASX:LLC) has scored a $174 million contract from NBN Co to help build the national broadband network in Western Australia.
The contract has been awarded to the Syntheo Joint Venture, a 50:50 joint venture between Lend Lease’s project management and construction business and Service Stream Limited (ASX:SSM).
Both companies will work to design and construct the fibre access network across Western Australia.
The award, initially for a two year term, has an option of a further two years at a potential total value of $484 million.
Last month Lend Lease said it had delivered a net profit of $493.2 million in the 2011 financial year.
