Standard and Poor's has upgraded its outlook for Qantas Airways Limited (ASX:QAN) from negative to stable.
The ratings agency has cited Qantas’ new international strategy as a reason for the revised outlook, expecting that the group’s overall performance will gradual improve as a result.
An S&P credit analyst says the latest strategies are key to the long-term viability of Qantas and the maintenance of its credit metrics.
Last week Qantas announced that it had more than doubled its profit in the 2011 financial year, coming in at $249 million.
