Infigen Energy slightly narrows FY net loss

Company News

Wind power company Infigen Energy (ASX:IFN) has slightly narrowed its full year net loss, coming in at $61 million.

While revenue in the year rose slightly to $285 million in fiscal 2011, EBITDA fell marginally to $145.6 million.

Infigen says the results reflect strong production and revenue, underpinned by improved wind conditions in the US and new capacity and availability in Australia.

However, these factors were offset by lower wholesale electricity and renewable energy certificate prices as well as a stronger Australian dollar.

Looking ahead managing director, Miles George, has told Fairfax Media that Infigen will be in profit within two years.
