Ausdrill FY profit jumps 52%

Ausdrill Limited (ASX:ASL) has reported a record full year net profit of $73 million, above its forecast and 52 per cent higher than the year before.

In the 2011 financial year sales revenue rose 32 per cent and EBITDA grew 30 per cent on the prior year.

The contract mining services company says the results were achieved through an expansion of its asset base through increased capital expenditure and also the contribution from its drilling and blasting company, Brandrill.

Looking ahead Ausdrill remains confident of continued growth and is targeting $1 billion in revenue for the year ahead.

A final fully franked dividend of 6.5 cents per share has been declared, bringing the total payout for the year to 12 cents per share.
