New Hope Corporation Limited (ASX:NHC) has announced a cash offer for Northern Energy of $2 a share.
The offer is not subject to any conditions, and will not be increased, the company said in a statement.
New Hope currently has a relevant interest in 80.83 per cent of Northern Energy’s shares.
It said it considers it highly unlikely that a competing proposal will emerge.
New Hope Corporation Limited (ASX:NHC) reported a profit of $407.3 million for the six months to January this year.
