Ceramic Fuel Cells gains on German order

Shares in Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited (ASX:CFU) gained more than 7 per cent yesterday after the company said the German Government had approved funding for an order of up to 200 of its integrated power and heat generators.

Ceramic Fuel Cells develops high efficiency and low emission power products and had previously announced the $6.5 million order, from German energy service provider EWE, is the largest it has ever received.

Part of the funding for the order is being provided by the German government’s national hydrogen and fuel cell technology innovation program.

Yesterday shares in Ceramic Fuel Cells gained 7.69 per cent, closing at $0.14.

Ceramic Fuel Cells booked a net loss of $8.4 million in the first half of the 2011 financial year.
